Happy New Year!
Welcome to Calow Church of England (VC) Primary School
At Calow, our core values are respect, resilience, honesty, caring and cooperation. We look to challenge, inspire and enable each child to stretch the boundaries of what they think they can achieve. We provide our pupils with a safe, secure environment in which to learn, grow and flourish, and their welfare is paramount.
Our school is a community in which every aspect of a child’s education is important. We want all our children to feel successful, happy and healthy, and to see life as an adventure, full of opportunities for taking and giving. We want them to enjoy and make the most of their time at school, setting themselves up well for the future. Our expectations of their behaviour, effort and attitude are high.
A strong link between family and school makes a big difference to children’s learning and welfare, and we all work together in the best interests of the children in our care. If you are a current parent or carer, we hope you will communicate closely with us and not hesitate to be in touch if there is anything we can do to help. If you are a prospective parent or carer, looking for a new school for your child, we will be delighted to meet you and show you around.

12th November marked the start of national Anti-Bullying Week. The theme was "Choose Respect!" and we ran various activities and assemblies focusing on this through the week. Of course, it's one of our core values, and an important message for us day in, day out. This is an important reminder, but choosing respect doesn't stop with anti-bullying week.
Letters and newsletters can now be found on our School News page here. They are usually uploaded on a Wednesday. We are continuing to send out paper copies, and in response to requests from parents and carers we will move towards emailing more.
